Audio (sung by: Smt. Siya Mridula)

avadh kè dularuā dūlahā mithilā meṅ ailè hō-2

The darling Prince of (groom from) Ayodhya came to Mithila

mithilā kè anupam chabi kè dèkhakè lōbhailè hō-2

And he fell in love at the exquisite beauty of Mithila (Sita)

apanè sè ailè, binā khōjalè bheṅṭailè hō -2

He came on his own, without any invitation, and was found (as the groom for Sita) without even being searched for (a suitable groom for Princess Sita).
(That supreme absolute who is not found by even great Jnani-s and Yogi-s in their meditation, He comes on his own to Mithila, just because of Sita.)

paidal ughārè gōDè galī galī bau-ailè hō

After coming here, He roamed barefoot in the streets of Mithila.
(to give his darshan to whole city, graced by Sita Ji)

ailè ta caṅdā ōkè kīrti kamai'ilè hō -2

And after coming here, He earned the fame of being the full-moon for the eyes of the damsels of Mithila,
(all the damsels of Mithila fell in love of Shri Rama, and they became the chakora-bird gazing on his moon-like countenance.)

siya kè mukhacandra par cakōr ban gai'ilè hō -2

However, He himself became the chakora bird gazing upon the moon-like countenance of the most beautiful princess Sita

bāhar sab kè ṭhagalè, inhavām̐ apanè ṭhagai'ilè hō - 2

Everywhere He enchanted all others, (He casted a spell on all others of his being the most beautiful in universe), Yet here he himself is enchanted on the beauty of Our Siya.

sugharan kè aguā, inhavām̐ siya sè pichuvai'ilè hō-2

That most delicate and beautiful Prince became second to our most beautiful Siya.
(Previously He was the foremost among all beautifuls, now He has become second in front of Siya Ju.)
kariyā aru rukhar rahalè, ab ta cikanai'ilè hō -2

He was earlier black and somewhat rough in his appearance (-a taunt by Sakhis), now just by a glance of our Siya on him, he has become more delicate and beautiful (than earlier, how?) !

gōrī siyā jū kè chāyā, padat hariyai'ilè hō - 2

When the shade of Golden Siya fell on him, he shone with greenish-hue !
(bluish sapphire boy Rama + golden lily Sita = Greenish Rama)

janam janam kè inakar sukṛt baṭūrai'ilè hō - 2

(It seems) The fruits of his pious deeds of innumerable births have now fructified at once (that He could get our Siya).

janak kè jamāī hō kè siya-piya kahaiilè hō - 2

After becoming jamai (son-in-law) of Janak, He is being called Siya-piya (the beloved of Siya).
(He is feeling a great happiness within his heart to be called Siya-Piya.)

sāsūr kè vyangya vacana sunī, ham̐salè musakaiilè hō -2

Hearing the banterings, sarcasms and equivocal taunts (from Sakhis) in his Sasural (wife's parental home), our darling prince smiled and laughed.

hamanī kè ḍhiṭhāī tanikō man meṅ na dhaiilè hō -2

Yet, He didn't take our insolence, impertinence, and jests to his heart.
(He didn't feel bad, instead He rejoiced it.)

nārāyaṇa nèha nidhi man man agaraiilè hō - 2

Seeing these Pastimes, Sri Narayan-das (the guru of singer), the ocean of love and affection, felt himself really blessed, and found a lot of bliss in his heart.

madhur saral jījā aisan, kèkarā sulabh bhai'ilè hō - 2

To whom, Such sweetest, and simplest Jija (sister's husband), ever have been accessible?

avadh kè dularuā dulahā mithilā meṅ ilè hō - 2

The darling groom from Ayodhya came in Mithila,

mithilā kè anupam chabi kè dèkhakè lōbhailè hō - 2

And he fell in love at the first sight of the exquisite beauty of Mithila (our Sita)

śrī dularuā dulahā kī jay
