(vinayapatrikA pada - 79)

O lord! You are the merciful, and I am the afflicted. You are the donor, and I am the beggar. I am the renowned sinner, and you are the destroyer of multitudes of sins.[1]

You are the protector of the orphans, and who is as orphaned as I am? There is none as pained like me, and there is no absolver of pain like you.[2]

You are the [ever-growing] Brahman and I am the [ finite] Jiva. You are the master, and I am the servant. You are my father, my mother, my Guru, my friend and my benefactor in every way.[3]

O the compassionate! [Thus] there are so many relations between you and me, you consider whatever you like, [such that] Tulasidasa gets refuge in your feet by some way or other.[4]
