Modern Science via-a-vis Vedic Concept in Cosmology ― The origin, existence and the dissolution of the Universe:

Vedas and Upanishads say this whole real everything (cosmos) were existing in the subtle form inside the Brahman (Rama), and when Brahman desired it was manifested in the present form. And after the end of the cosmic cycle, it will return again to the same state of the subtle point form inside the Brahman (Rama). The Vedānta Sūtra states that Brahman is That from Whom this Universe proceeds, in Whom it subsists, and to Whom, in the end, it returns. Creation goes in cycles. Before the creation there is absolutely nothing but the Brahman (the absolute Self, Rama).

In its own words, Now Modern Physics (Science) too suggesting and reaching to the same concept what is already suggested and approved long ago by Vedic-sages in Vedas and Vedanta (Upanishad).

In the Mangalacharana Shloka of Ramcharitmanas, Balkanda, Goswami Tulsidas Ji says ― यत्सत्त्वादमृषैव भाति सकलं (yatsattvādamṛṣaiva bhāti sakalaṃ) : The whole real (अमृषा) everything (सकलं) comes into light by the existence of Brahman Rama.

यन्मायावशवर्ति विश्वमखिलं ब्रह्मादिदेवासुरा
यत्सत्त्वादमृषैव भाति सकलं रज्जौ यथाहेर्भ्रमः।
यत्पादप्लवमेकमेव हि भवाम्भोधेस्तितीर्षावतां
वन्देऽहं तमशेषकारणपरं रामाख्यमीशं हरिम्‌॥6॥

Purport: I (Tulasidas) make reverence to the Paratpar-swarupa of Lord Hari, renowned by the name of Shri Rama in all the worlds, who is superior to and lies beyond all causes, who is even beyond the triad gods BrahmA-VishNu-Mahesh responsible for creation, sustenance and dissolution, whose Maya (illusive power) holds sway over the entire universe including gods from BrahmA (the Creator) downwards and demons, by whose presence this whole real everything comes into light (in experience) ― even as the illusory notion of a serpent is entertained with reference to a ropeand ― and whose feet are the only bark for those who are eager to cross the ocean of mundane existence.

Recently in another research, a scientist reached to this conclusion , this universe is in existence because of an individual's consciousness of it. Professor Lanza says biocentrism explains that the universe only exists because of an individual's consciousness of it — essentially life and biology are central to reality, which in turn creates the universe; the universe itself does not create life.

While the religious would argue that life on earth is a mere warm up for an eternity spent in heaven or hell, and many scientists would dismiss the concept for lack of proof — one expert claims he has definitive evidence to confirm once and for all that there is indeed life after death.

The answer, Professor Robert Lanza says, lies in quantum physics — specifically the theory of biocentrism. The scientist, from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina, says the evidence lies in the idea that the concept of death is a mere figment of our consciousness.

Professor Lanza says biocentrism explains that the universe only exists because of an individual's consciousness of it — essentially life and biology are central to reality, which in turn creates the universe; the universe itself does not create life. The same applies to the concepts of space and time, which Professor Lanza describes as "simply tools of the mind".

Vedas proclaimed this truth long long ago, : 1) universe only exists because of an individual's consciousness of it — which is called 'Brahman' Rama (the cosmic consciousness), the only reality which exists! and 2) the universe itself does not create life!

In Vishnu Puran, Maitreya asked Parashara,

सोऽहमिच्छामि धर्मज्ञ श्रोतुं त्वत्तो यथा जगत् ।
बभूत भूयश्र्च यथा महाभाग भविष्यति ॥४॥
यन्मयं च जगद्बह्मन्यतश्चैतच्चराचरम् ।
लीनमासीद्यथा यत्र लयमेष्यति यत्र च ॥५॥
(Vishnu-Purana)

O' foremost among sages, I want to know how this whole creation manifested (originated) and how this will again be manifested (in next Kalpa after Maha-pralaya). Who is the cause (or source as Upadan-Karana) of this universe, From whom this whole cosmos including all animate-inanimate came into existence (originated), where this whole everything (entire cosmos including all souls) was existing before it manifested (came into light) and where/in which it will again merge i.e. slip into a deep intensity?

Answer is given in Vishnu-Purana as well as many other Vedic-scriptures (Vedas, Upanishad, Smritis, Purana):

Before the creation, there was nothing except Brahman, all this existence was one undifferentiated, unmanifested, indefinable, unarguable and unknown in every way. The whole cosmos was in existence inside the Brahman in the concentrated small subtle form (Sookshma Rup Me बिंदु-रूप में) . When Brahman desired, there was a sudden impulse, and it created the tremendous instability in that subtle point. This impulse inside the point caused many changes, and from this condition arose the whole cosmos of 'name and form', it appeared in the present form. This whole everything is illuminated by Brahman Ram only. (- Vedas, Upanishad, Manu Smriti, Puranas)

न मृत्युरासीदमृतं न तर्हि न रात्र्या।आन्ह।आसीत् प्रकॆत: ।
आनीदवातं स्वधया तदॆकं तस्माद्धान्यन्नपर: किंचनास ॥RigVeda॥

Before the creation, there was neither death nor immortality, nor was there then the torch of night and day. The One (Brahman Rama) breathed windlessly and self-sustaining. There was that One then, and there was no other.

कामस्तदग्रॆ समवर्तताधि मनसॊ रॆत: प्रथमं यदासीत् ।
सतॊबन्धुमसति निरविन्दन्हृदि प्रतीष्या कवयॊ मनीषा ॥RigVeda॥

In the beginning desire descended on it (that is called Great Awakening) - that was the primal seed, born of the mind consciousness of the cosmic spirit (Brahman). The sages who have searched their hearts with wisdom know that which is is kin to that which is not.

Aitareya Upanishad I-i-1: In the beginning there was but the absolute Self (Brahman) alone. There was nothing else whatsoever that winked. He thought, "Let Me create the worlds."

हिरण्यगर्भः समवर्तताग्रे भूतस्य जातः पतिरेकासीत ।RigVeda।

Brahman manifested Himself in the beginning as the Hiranygarbha (the Golden Egg) encompassing all things, including everything within Himself, the collective totality, as it were, of the whole of creation, animating it as the Supreme Intelligence.

This Hiranygarbha (the golden womb or the Golden Egg) burst and everything came into existence with names and forms through successive transformations of cause and effect., in the modern science it is similar to big-bang theory from which whole universe came into existence in present form.

TaittirIya Upanishad II.7: In the beginning all this was unmanifested (Brahman alone was there). From that (Brahman), emerged (all) the manifested. [असद्वा इदमग्र आसीत् | ततो वै सदजायत |]

BR^ihadAraNyaka Upanishad III-ix-26: Brahman is to be known only from the upanishads, who definitely projects all the beings and again withdraws them into Himself and who is at the same time transcendental.

Thus whole everything was in dormant state in Brahman which is beyond Sat (the existence with name and form) and Asat (non-existent as without name and form) All was asat in the beginning and from it sat arose. So the whole everything was first undifferentiated, unmanifested, indefinable, unarguable, unknown and unit one and then was made manifest into names and forms through successive transformations of cause and effect. Thus the nature of the Brahman or atma is undefinable by any and all conceptions of 'sat' and 'asat'.

The Brahman Rama is the illuminator and whole creation is illuminated by him.

तमेव भान्तमनुभाति सर्वं तस्य भासा सर्वमिदं बिभाति।
[Shvetasvatar Upanishad VI-14]

The sun does not shine there; neither the moon, nor the stars. There these lightnings shine not - how then this fire? Because He shines, everything shines after Him. By His light all this shines.

Again same concept of ‘तमेव भान्तमनुभाति सर्वं' is reiterated in Shrimad Valmiki Ramayana where it is told Lord Ram is the sun of sun, the fire of fire, the illuminator of all gods in Ayodhya-Kand.

It is same there in ShriRamcharitmanas:

सब कर परम प्रकासक जोई। राम अनादि अवधपति सोई॥3॥
जगत प्रकास्य प्रकासक रामू। मायाधीस ग्यान गुन धामू॥
जासु सत्यता तें जड़ माया। भास सत्य इव मोह सहाया॥4॥
[Ramcharitmanas 1.117.3-4]

भावार्थ:- सबका जो परम प्रकाशक है (अर्थात जिससे इन सबका प्रकाश होता है), वही अनादि ब्रह्म अयोध्या नरेश श्री रामचन्द्रजी हैं॥3॥ यह जगत प्रकाश्य है और श्री रामचन्द्रजी इसके प्रकाशक हैं। वे माया के स्वामी और ज्ञान तथा गुणों के धाम हैं। जिनकी सत्ता से, मोह की सहायता पाकर जड़ माया भी सत्य सी भासित होती है॥4॥

The supreme illuminator of all is the eternal RAma, king of Ayodhya. The world of matter is the object of illumination, while RAma is its illuminator. He is the lord of MAyA, and the abode of wisdom and virtues. It is due to His reality that even unconscious Maya appears as real through ignorance. [Ramcharitmanas 1.117.3-4]
